Our approach is practical, obedience-based, and focused on real-world results. We teach both ends of the leash: your dog learns clear commands and boundaries, and you learn how to handle, guide, and maintain those behaviors at home, on walks, and around everyday distractions.
Training emphasizes structure, consistency, timing, reward, repetition, and handler control. For dogs that are pulling, freezing, jumping, ignoring commands, or becoming difficult to manage, we focus first on safety and control, then build reliable obedience through clear communication and consistent follow-through.
Our goal is to provide you and your dog with the best training experience possible. We offer personalized in-home obedience training tailored to your dog’s needs, your goals, and the real-world situations you face every day.
We will develop a practical training program to help your dog build reliable obedience skills, improve household manners, and address unwanted behaviors. During your free initial consultation, we will discuss your goals, identify the main problems you want to solve, and recommend a training plan based on your dog’s needs and your priorities.
Examples include:
-Basic obedience skills: sit, down, heel, come, and stay
-Housebreaking and crate training
-Nipping and chewing
-Leash pulling
-Resource guarding
-Jumping on visitors
-Counter surfing
-Separation anxiety

In addition to Basic Obedience Training, we offer Option 2 testing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification.
The AKC Canine Good Citizen program is designed to recognize dogs who demonstrate reliable manners, basic obedience, and appropriate behavior around people, other dogs, distractions, and everyday situations. By completing this program, you and your dog can develop the skills necessary to take and pass the AKC CGC test.
To receive the official AKC CGC title, your dog must be registered or listed with the AKC.
The Canine Good Citizen certification is an excellent foundation for responsible dog ownership, public manners, therapy-dog preparation, advanced obedience, and future specialty training. It is not the same as ADA service-dog certification, emotional-support-animal status, or therapy-dog certification.
Reliable skills developed in this program include:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Heel / controlled walking
- Come when called
- Sit politely for examination and grooming
- Walking under control around people and distractions
- Remaining controlled when the owner leaves the room

Perfect for owners who want a more immersive training option before continuing the work at home. Your dog will stay for two weeks with our boarding partner, Pawzitively Furbulous, on their campus in beautiful Ringwood, New Jersey.
During the program, your dog will receive one-on-one obedience training with the Certified Head Trainer of Canine Concierge Training LLC while enjoying Pawzitively Furbulous’s boutique boarding environment.
After the board-and-train program, you will receive two private follow-up sessions in your home so you can learn the commands, practice proper handling, and maintain lasting results.
